Anyway, to impress a college, the best thing is to be unique. For me, it was a strong interest in business/social entrepreneurship. And it wasn't just interest, it was action by starting organizations. You have to have your own 'brand' that makes you stand out. If you're unique, they can't turn you down. Ultimately colleges want people who will contribute to their campus, so you have to make them see that in you.
